Intro:

Brightest Butterfly is a mobile art studio & art education hub based in Puyallup operated by Melanie Marie

HI! I’m Melanie, and Brightest Butterfly is my mobile art studio & art education project. Based in Puyallup, WA, I’m a freelance artist and art educator working in public schools. I want to offer art classes and creative workshops to the community - because after all, why should only young people have all the fun?!?! Art grows, changes, and enriches our lives so let’s do some art together!

Services:

> Home Studio Workshops

I offer small group workshops at my home studio regularly. My workshops range from mindful art lessons and crafts to restorative creative workshops. All classes include materials, step-by-step instruction, a mindful component, and refreshments. Workshop attendees enjoy learning new skills in a relaxed space and creating original art work to keep.

Pricing for classes at my home studio = $45 per person

> Mobile Workshops and Paint Parties

As a mobile studio, I also offer all of my services on location, too. My mobile packages are a great way to bring the art studio to you.

Pricing for classes at your location = $50/per person + $50 deposit to book (applied toward total cost). Minimum party of 5.

Workshops - ongoing calendar of events (such as: beginner-level painting, seasonal and nature-based art ) in a variety of mediums (ink, paint, pencil, pastel, paper)
Paint parties - Pick a painting for your party from my selection, or we can do an original based on your need. I bring the paints, canvas, easels, experience and expertise for a complete Paint Party at your location
Creative wellness events - Intuitive Painting, Mindful Mandalas, Drawing for Relaxation, etc. Join my monthly newsletter to stay updated on current events
Private and small group art classes - on request! I offer a variety of beginner to intermediate art classes in a series of sessions that can be scheduled at your convenience.

About Me

I’m a local artist and art teacher. I live in Puyallup, WA where I work out of my home studio.

I have been making art since I was a kid. Over the last 20+ years as a specialized teacher, I have found that making art is something that everybody can do, no matter the age or ability. Engaging in art-making is restorative and good for everyone.

I am passionate about guiding others in creative expression. Through intentional workshops and special events, I combine my love of teaching with mindfulness and creative exploration. My favorite part is creating communal art experiences where groups can relax, connect, and discover their natural creative flow.
